Community Builders Awards: Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie recognized as a pillar of our community

Club named Hall of Fame award winner for Rotaryfest, the Sault’s only summer festival for 100 years

The Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie has provided residents of our community with an exciting summer event featuring musicians and local entertainment that is free to the public for the last 100 years.

Rotaryfest, run entirely by volunteers, attracts tens of thousands of people to the city’s downtown, creating a sense of community for residents and offering an outlet for musicians to showcase their talent.

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the Rotary Club hosted an online Rotaryfest event in 2020 and a modified event in 2021 in an effort to support the non-profit organizations it has partnered and offer Saultites a way to come together in these difficult times.

The Rotary Club has also supported important community initiatives such as the Bellevue Park Interactive Outdoor Sensory Playground, the Bell Celebrity Skate, the Rotary Youth exchange program and many more.

The Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie has undoubtedly strengthened the local arts scene, our charities and our community spirit through its resilience, innovation and the dedication of its hardworking volunteers.

The Hall of Fame Award is presented to an individual or a group that has had a significant impact on the community.

This award is proudly sponsored by Superior Auto Group.
